Forever Friends Fortnight - Christmas in July

Eeeee this is sooooooo late!!!
Here is my DT card for the Forever Friends Fortnight challenge which is

I really struggled with this one - my mojo is clearly not in the Christmas card mood even though the weather weve been having resembles winter!!!

I used a Forever Friends clear stamp and coloured with the ole PMs and a LOTV sentiment.

Visit the FF challenge blog to join in and see the fab creations by the DT.
Just a quick post from me as I'm off to prepare for school tomorrow as I'm covering Reception kiddiwinks at my final placement school. Ive been sooooo busy with everything hence this card being so late plus I graduated on Friday (will upload photos soon!)!

Happy Crafting Everyone!

LIM Paper Pieced

Hello!

I'm back with a card I have made for the challenge over at Less is More which is paper piecing.

I immediately thought of one of my favourite Forever Friends stamps.

The card is straight in real life lol its the angle of the photograph.

I pulled some pink flowery paper from my scrap box and stamped the image and cut it out. I forgot how much I love paper piecing! Ive used my last baby feet charm I bought at the GNPE last year - I really need to stock up on some more soon!

I coloured the little bear with my Promarkers and decoupaged his hand for a little dimension.
No idea where this layout came from lol I was in the mood for using some twine!
I'm not sure if I like the sentiment but couldnt for the life of me think of where else it could go :/

Right well I'm off to work this afternoon eugh I seriously don't know why I put myself in to do overtime meh lol!

Happy Crafting!!

Anyhoo I feel I have eaten my weight in chocolate today :s (not good for the hips!)
I only managed to make 3 Easter cards this year but it was one for the Mother and Co, one for Gran and one for the Aunty and Co so I'm not too fussed.

For this card I have used :
  • A6 white card blank

Forever Friends Fortnight - White, pink and brown.

Oh I'm quite late with this whoops! Naff weekend at work hence the lateness, how I wish I could just leave!!!

Anyway enough of my whining on to this fortnights challenge over at Forever Friends and Co.
This fortnight the theme is white, brown and pink and we are sponsored by Stitchy Bears who gave us some images to play with.

I'm not sure whether the colours really go with this image but I tried to do it justice! I love the shape of the main card - must do this more often!

Short one from me today, still loads to do!
Please jump over to Forever Friends to see the other DT work and join in! Remember you don't need to use a Forever Friends bear, any animal will be fine!

Bye for now

FF Fortnight - Use Your Dies

I cant believe its time again for another FF Fortnight challenge! How times flies lately! So onto our challenge which is to use your dies and an animal of course ! Our sponsor this fortnight is I am Roses and some of our DT have used some of their lovely products on their creations.

I saw this stamp set in The Range sale last November for only £2.99 and with 3 quite large FF bear stamps and loads of little sentiments I couldn't walk past it!
I coloured in the bear with my Promarkers and paper pieced his present to add a bit of interest with paper from the Cosy Christmas Paper pad. Paper Piecing is actually the monthly challenge over at Forever Friends too! I found it quite fiddly though - I think I may  need a bit more practice!
I cut out the little squares using my Cuttlebug dies and ran some through a Polka Dot embossing folder and coloured in the raised dots with a Clear Stardust pen. I had a bit of a job sticking all the squares down because they were all so small! Defo need to try and get some Square Nesties to have bigger squares next time!

What I used:
  • FF Bear and sentiment from the Cosy Christmas collection
  • Promarkers
  • Spellbinders Label 8 Nesties
  • Cuttlebug square dies (because I cant cut a square to save my life!!)
  • Cuttle bug Polka Dots embossing folder
  • Sakura Clear Stardust pen
  • Green brads
So hop on over to Forever Friends and Co now to see the other fab creations made by the DT! And remember you don't need to use a Forever Friends bear as long as you use an animal and your dies!

Forever Friends Fortnight - 3D

Hi all

The theme this fortnight over at Forever Friends and Co is 3D. I had a sudden urge to make my own decoupage lol so I used my Forever Friends CD and printed off this adorable image 4 times and cut out all the little bits, it took a while and some of the bits are pretty dodgy but I think it turned out all right in the end!

It looks very plain and simple but I swear cutting all those little pieces out nearly drove me mad! And then getting the sentiment printed onto the card blank in the right place and right colour!! It nearly pushed me over the edge!!

I added some flock onto the hat and some clear stardust pen around the moon, not that you can see it on the photo!
So hop on over to  Forever Friends and Co Challenge to check out the details!
And remember as long as you include an animal and follow the theme you can enter!

I would like to enter my card into Totally Gorjuss - Cute and Cuddly because to be honest this little bear is the cutest thing Ive seen for awhile lol.

Ive totally lost my card making mojo and it seems to have been replaced by the need to sew? No idea why but I am currently obsessed with making felties and have made 3 in the last week! Will post some photos soon  probs when I get these 5000 word written for SEN!

Hope you are all well, will try and pop by soon!

  • Image from Di Digital Downloads
  • Promarkers

Forever Friends Fortnight - Pastel Colours

Well this is a bit late isn't it! Only a week!! I didn't have time to post for I left for Guide camp, which was AWESOME by the way lol, so I'm posting now before I go on my next holiday tomorrow!

So you still have a week left to join in with the new challenge at Forever Friends and co which is 'Pastel colours'. This wasn't a hard one considering most of the cards I make involve pastel colours!

We are sponsored by Whoopsi Daisy who will win 3 images and the DT were given some fabby images to play with for this challenge.

What I used:
Whoopsi Daisy digi stamp
Promarkers
Polka dot paper
Purple dew drops
Blue flowers
Sentiment stamp

So better go pack a last few things - I'm off to Centre Parks tomorrow in the Lake District, I cant wait!!! This will be my third time there but the BF has never been so I'm quite excited for him lol. I will catch up on the blogging/commenting when I get back!

Forever Friends Fortnight challenge - Not a square

Its that time again for another fab challenge over at Forever Friends!

This fortnight we are sponsored by Stitchy Bears Digital Stamps who kindly gave the DT some fab images to work with!

I was instantly drawn to this little bear in the woods.  I love the outdoors and can't wait to spend a week camping with my Guides in a few weeks then a week at Centre Parks with the BF!

I have one or two male birthdays coming up so thought I'd give a male card ago. My word it was it hard! First of all it has no embellishments!! Oh well I love the shades of blue lol and I'm happy with the shape as I seem to be stuck in a 'square' card phase at the mo!

So hop on over to Forever Friends now to see the other fab DT creations! And remember you don't have to use a Forever Friends bear as long as you use an animal and follow the theme!

I managed a few cards last week so will hopefully find some time soon to post them up lol!
Also for some reason naughty Mr Blogger won't let me comment on all the wonderful blogs that have their comment box embedded into the post :( When I go to select a Google account I constantly get logged in and out. Does anyone have any ideas as to why this happens? Its fine when the comment box appears in a new window just not when its at the bottom of a post. Its extremely frustrating not being able to comment!!!!

Right rant over lol hope you are all well!

Pink Forever Friends

So I get all of this time off with no school or uni and what happens? My crafty mojo ups and leaves!!! A whole week of sitting staring at my craft stash and not having a clue what to do with it.

So I decided to do a bit of tidying/sorting and came across a Forever Friends Pink Parfait Decoupage pack that I hadn't even opened! So I forced myself to sit down and make a card with it and three days later I managed lol! I think using the fab sketch over at Cupcake Crafts Challenge helped quite a bit!

I'm quite impressed with myself lol!

A close up of the cute FF bear. Boy was that umbrella difficult to glue!

The gorgeous flower from 'I am Roses', its actually two flowers attached together with the pretty brad, which papermania have stopped making grrrrr!

What I used:
Decoupaged images, paper and greeting from the Forever Friends Pink Parfait pack
6" by 6" card blank
Crystal Stickles
Flowers from stash
Papermania pearl brad
Pink dew drops

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Cupcake Craft Challenges - sketch
Crafty Creations - sparkle and bling (I couldn't resist adding stickles to the water and backing paper)

On another note can anyone recommend a half decent paper trimmer/cutter?
Ive been using a super market paper trimmer and its defo on its way out lol. I've been meaning to buy another one since Christmas but there's just soo many out there I wouldn't know what to look for! All suggestions welcome!
I'll hopefully be back soon :)
Hope you are all well!

Forever Friends Fortnight Challenge : Spots and dots

Hi there!!!

This fortnight the new challenge over at Forever Friends is 'Spots and Dots.'

For some reason when I look through my card  box I have loads of baby boy cards but none for girls! So I decided I would take this opportunity to find some girly dotty paper to use with one of the mountain of FF stickers I have lol.

The dotty paper is from the Wild Rose Studio polka dot pack and the sentiment is from Stamporsaurus.
The fab prize up  for grabs is a lovely flower pack from I Am Roses. so do go check out FF blog and the fab creations from the DT!

So placement finally finished and passed woop woop!!!!
It feels soooo odd not having any planning, resource making or marking to do!
I have quite a large pile of crafty stash which I haven't had a chance to play with yet so am very much looking forward to getting the living room floor in an absolute mess lol! (The bf isn't!!)
I also have some candy to post up to celebrate my 1st year blogaversary and my passing of placement so will hopefully have that up soon!
Hope you are all well!

FF Fortnight Challenge-Bows and Buttons

Hi everyone! It's time for the Forever Friends Fortnight Challenge.

This fortnight our challenge is to use Bows and Buttons and we are sponsored by

who are kindly giving 5 digi images to our winner!

The DT were sent some lovely images to play with and I used the fantastic background image "Field background". Isnt it fab! It was brilliant to colour with my PM's too and I can think of soo many ways to use it!
So this is what I can up with:
I'm quite impressed with myself this week! I went for a very spring vibe with the colours and love the way it has turned out! Its not what I had in my mind at first but I suppose that's what being creative is all about - going with the flow!

Close up of my cute FF bear that I bought a few weeks ago at The Range. I used little flat backed pearls for the centre of the flowers.

Close up of the fab image. I realised when colouring that I cant colour skies to save my life lol so cut out the image and backed it onto some blue card. Gives it a bit of a 3D look too.

So we hope you can play along with us!
I would also like to enter this card into the following challenges into:
So back to school tomorrow :/ and Im teaching all day - thats gonna be fab aint it lol! Pretty hyper kids I can imagine!
Oh well only 5 weeks of placement left lol! So if you dont hear from me I havnt dropped off the face of the Earth Im just in a corner planning lol not being able to tough my craftt stash!

Hope everyone is well
