Hi all! For some reason Blogger won't let me comment if the comment box is embedded into your posts so please dont think I am being rude - I honestly cant comment on your wonderful creations which is soo frustrating! I can only comment if the comment box opens a new window. Hopefully all will be fixed soon! Rach :) x

Anya Celebrates

I'm back so soon! Whats going on!! Lol.
I'm slowly working my way through the goodies I got at Christmas ( you can see the video HERE) and as there has been sun today, yes I did say sun not a swear word!, I decided to practise my colouring.

Very pleased with the hair which is what I need to work on the most.

I love TGF as I always have so much fun colouring them in and this 'Big Anya' was no exception!

She's just so pwetty! I'm pleased that the glitter actually shows up on the photos lol!

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:
Inky Chicks - Becky's Bingo - Ribbon, Image, Pearls.
The Squirrel and The Fox - Something New - New stamp and new papers.

Well I suppose I should go get ready for a new week at Nursery lol.
Hope you've all had a good weekend :)

3rd Annual TGF Customer blog hop - general project!!!

My first rubber stamp was from The Greeting Farm and I must say my collection has definitely grown!! I love the characters Anya and Ian and think they are sooo versatile and easy to colour (which is good for me as I'm useless!!) In fact the whole reason I use Promarkers (which I first stole from my BF lol!) was because of TGF stamps!

So I thought I would join in with the 3rd Annual TGF Customer blog hop with a general project which starts HERE.
You can visit the blog to see the list of hoppers and read how you could win some AMAZING prizes!!

For my card I decided to use my favourite TGF stamp - Fleur Anya.

I have used Kay Miller Lovebug digi papers and coloured her in with Promarkers and Flexmarkers.

Not a colour I have used before but I must say I love it!!

What I have used:
  • Promarkers and Flexmarkers - Buttercup (Hair) Blush (skin) Pastel Pink (cheeks) FM Watermelon and Magenta (Dress and flowers) and lemon (flower centres)
  • 5x5 card blank
  • Kay Miller Lovebug digi papers
  • TRG ribbon coloured with PM
  • TRG clear dew drops
  • Craftwork card sentiment.
  • Stickles (not that is shows well!)

I'm really excited to join the huge list of fab hoppers and am looking forward to seeing all of the creations!!

Hope you are all well and happy hopping!

Two in one

Two cards in one post tonight as I'm off camping in the morning for the week with my Guides! I am soo excited! Still not packed yet (as usual!) so on a bit of a tight schedule!

My first card is a lovely purple creation for a purple mad friend's 21st birthday.

I followed the fab sketch by Dena over at Wild Orchid Crafts Challenge.

Finally gave in to buying some cherry blossoms and sweet blossoms from Wild Orchid Crafts!

I used Suzi with Bunny from Wee Stamps. I absolutely adore this image and have coloured her up so many different ways. I just cant seem to colour her enough!

This is what I used:
6" by 6" card blank
Suzi with Bunny digi stamp coloured with Promarkers
Papermania Henbury lane papers
WOC bakers twine in plum
WOC cheery blossoms and sweet blossoms sprayed with Perfect Pearl mist
LOTV circle sentiment stamps, circle and scallop nesties
TRG clear dew drops.

I would like to enter this card into the Wild Orchid Crafts challenge 28 - We're 1 Year Old! sketch

The next card is another 21st birthday card for a friend.

I forget about my TGF stamps sometimes (shame on me I know!) which is bad because these cuties are fabulous to colour!

This is what I used:
my card blank started at 6" by 6" but I ended up cutting it to this random shape!
The Greeting Farm Fleur Anya coloured with Promarkers
Crystal Stickles
Blue dewdrops
Blue spotty paper
LOTV setniment, cirlce and scallop nesties
The Ribbon Girl Turquoise Organza ribbon

I would like to enter this card into The Ribbon Girl Colour Challenge 10 - shades of Aqua.

So must go pack!!! See you all soon!

Happy Crafting :)

Friday, 4 March 2011

Hello everyone!
I managed to finish the History assignment woop woop so while I had a bit of spare time I thought I should maybe get a bit if a head start on the 'Thank You' cards for placement.

As soon as I saw Teacher Anya from The Greeting Farm I NEEEEEEEDED it! As I'm training to be a teacher I knew it would come in handy lol.

I used the sketch over at Anyone for Anya with Basic Grey papers and some translucent gems and flowers.
Now these papers well they were one of those "ooo I really like those " impulse buys. And they have sat in a drawer for few months and every time I have seen them I have been annoyed with myself because I really don't like them but I have forced myself to use them and to be honest I am really pleased! Moral of the story Rachael is to push yourself once in a while!

Anyway I used the good ole promarkers to colour Anya in and tried for my life to give her hair a bit of shading. I found some distress inks and tried to distress the edges a bit too.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

So I am off to start the NEXT assignment lol this one is Science and doesnt look too bad (she says!).

Speak soon
Hugs
