Something Special :)

Hello!!

This is my 100th post!! A bit of a milestone for me lol !

Ive been really struggling with my card making mojo this past week, which is extremely annoying as I have four cards to make for birthdays next week!!!

So I decided to make something a bit different.

 I bought a load of wooden hearts from ebay last October and hadn't really used them so thought I'd make something special for my Gran who had an operation last Friday.

I covered it in white acrylic paint as it was quite a dark colour then used pearl paint on the back and the sides. I then cut round the heart with my craft knife (very carefully!) and stuck the paper to the front.

I printed the sentiment off the computer and cut up each individual word then glazed them with Diamond Glaze as I thought it made the words look a bit interesting.

I'm yet to give it to Gran as every time Ive tried to go up shes not been up to having visitors bless her but I'm hoping to 'pop in' this afternoon as I'm at work all weekend.

I have a few ideas for more of these as I really enjoyed making it!

Back to the grind I go lol.

Valentines

Helloooo!!

I thought I'd share the Valentines Day card I've made for the bf while he's out at work.

When I saw this digi image from Birdie Brown I knew I needed it for my Valentines card!

What I have used:

• Lovely Robot digi image from Birdie Brown
• Promarkers
• Red cardstock
• LOTV postage stamp sentiment
• Red polka dot cardstock
• Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder
• Red glitter

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

• I love Promarkers - 103 - Love is in the air
• Totally Gorjuss - 118 - Lurve
• Craft us Crazy - 20 - Anything Goes

Unfortunately his VD gifts haven't arrived yet :( so the card will have to suffice for now lol.

LIM Sketch attempt no. 2

Well after last weeks failed attempt at the LIM sketch challenge I vowed to have another go!  I also tried to combine it with this weeks challenge of Aqua but to my dismay I do not own an aqua ink pad. I mean seriously Rachael!!!! So I used the lightest blue ink I have.

But I don't think my entry will count because its looks way darker in the photo's than it actually is.

I used the same the same stamps at before (seen HERE) as I really enjoyed using them.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Paper Sundaes - Clean and Simple

Less is More - Aqua (I know it looks dark but I wanted to show you that I tried the sketch again lol! Happy 1st Birthday too!!)

Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes

Well I got one assignment handed in and I now need to start another. Eugh lol.

Forever Friends Fortnight - Shades of blue

Good morning lovely people!

How time flies!

And its time for a new challenge over at Forever Friends Fortnight and the theme is:

Shades of blue

The DT were given this lovely image from Bugaboo Digi Stamps our sponsor for this challenge.

I think I have used every blue promarker and flexmarker I have in my box lol!

What I used:

A6 white card blank

Blue cardstock

Blue dew drops

So quite a simple card for today, I'm not very good at male cards lol.

LIM - Sketch

I have managed to find time to make card lol !!!

So I'm quite a happy bunny today! And guess what else has happened.....

I passed all 3 QTS tests for Uni!!! Even the numeracy ha ha !!

I get seriously nervous when 'mental arithmatic' is mentioned so I was quite worried walking in and had already prepared myself to fail but turns out I'm not that bad!!!

Whoop whoop! That's no more exams just the dreaded dissertation and a few 1000 word assignments to hand in!

Anyhooooooo (lol)

Ive been trying to play along with the challenges over at LIM for the past couple of weeks now and even got so far as making half a card for a few lol, so I forced myself to sit down yesterday amongst the massive pile of Uni books and make a card with the fab sketch! Although I have only just realised that its the wrong blumin shape!! Oh well better luck next time Rach!!

I made the paper by stamping a flower from a Papermania flower set. The flower comes in two different sizes which I think is perfect for making my own paper.  

(Why it looks bent out of shape is beyond me!)

I stamped the large flower twice and cut it out to layer it to give a bit of dimension. I used the same ink pad to create the mat that is behind it. I also used the same ink pad to stamp out the greeting too.

What I have used:

• 5x5 white card blank
• Papermania flower stamps
• Papermania sentiment
• Versacolour Magenta ink cube
• Silver gems

Well back to the grind I suppose. It better all be blumin worth it I tell ya!! Lol.
